Mojo content cover analysis

The mojo cover analysis. This cover makes the writing stand out because the colour pallet is the colours are red, white, blue and black. The colour pallet draws the target audience in because it has the same colours as English flag, which the cover is trying to draw people in of an english ethnicity. The typography draws the target audience in because they use big star names to make people want to read the magazine although they didn't put the big star name in a large font. The layout really compliments the colour pallet

live lounge- James Arther cover of 'how to save a life"

I have chosen James Arther 'how to save a life' by the fray cover.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p05qgxm0/live-lounge-james-arthur

The song starts at 10:08.

Step one, you say we need to talk
He walks, you say sit down, it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely
right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left, and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
Let him know that you know best
Cause after all, you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong

The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And I pray to God he hears you
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed

He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same

And you'll begin to wonder why you came
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life

blue highlighter= Alpha male theory/stereotype
pink highlighter= Women theory/stereotype

The non diegetic and diegetic sound in this cover attracts the target audience because it has the same exact lyrics and rhythm as the original song just with a different singer. Although people may not like the cover, it will bring in two different audiences because the audience who loves the original song and the audience who loves James Arther. The non diegetic and diegetic sound also makes the song a good song because its vey different from the original song but also vey similar to the original song in many ways. There is also many male and female stereotypes like for male stereotype there is this quote 'he will do one of two things. he will admit to everything or he'll say he's just not the same'
This is saying how males can either have a softer side or a non-soft side. As for females there is this quote 'grant him one last chance, drive until you loose the road, or break with the ones you've followed' this is saying how women are stereotyped as giving guys chances and how they are very emotional.
